Closing and Moving

Closing Process

At least a week before your closing date, you lawyer/legal assistant or notary will be in touch to confirm your in person appointment. Depending on whether you are buying or selling, your appointment will typically be a few days prior to closing. Follow up with them if you don't have an appointment confirmed a week ahead of time.
The mortgage instructions will come from your broker/lender and be sent to the lawyer prior to your appointment. My office and your lawyer will work out your deposit which has been held in trust at RE/MAX Crest.
You will be provided with a Statement of Adjustments prior to your appointment with either an exact or a close approximate to pay your closing/legal costs. You will typically need a bank draft.
