Living in Vancouver is a privilege, and we feel very fortunate to be here. Most home owners will tell you how happy and proud they are to be residents of the North Shore. North Vancouver is truly a very special place to live. In fact, it's arguably one of the most magnificent and diverse places on Earth.

About North Vancouver

North Vancouver is comprised of 'the City' and 'the District'. The District of North Vancouver covers a much larger area, but the City's population is more dense — especially in the central areas of Lower Lonsdale, Central Lonsdale and Upper Lonsdale, where amenities are plentiful and developments continue to boom. The District of North Vancouver has an estimated population of 85,000 while the City's population is around the 50,000 mark.

Surrounding the City to the south and separating North Van from Vancouver is the Burrard Inlet. From Lonsdale Quay, you’ll find the Sea Bus departing every 15 minutes to shuttle commuters to their downtown offices. The District of North Vancouver surrounds the City and continues up the North Shore Mountains where you will find many quiet and picturesque neighbourhoods. Dividing the District from West Vancouver is the Capilano River, while the Indian River borders the District to the east.

The area is famous for being a bit of an outdoor playground, with many attractions to explore. Whether you enjoy walking, jogging, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, paragliding or lying out at the beach, you will never run out of things to do.

North Vancouver Attractions

Destinations and attractions for both the resident and tourist are plentiful here; almost too plentiful to list them all, but we'll share the main ones! Popular sites in North Vancouver include The Capilano and Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridges, Lynn Canyon Park, The Fish Hatchery, Cleveland Dam, Grouse Mountain, Mount Seymour and the Ecology Center. North Vancouver is also extremely popular for its world-class mountain biking and terrain.
